Mr Vollan is CEO of EV Power AS. The company was incorporated in April 2011 by Nord-Trøndelag Elektrisitetsverk AS (NTE). NTE is an energy utility company that is owned by North Trøndelag County Council. The principal business services offered by NTE include: the production, distribution and sale of green and renewable energy; the supply of electrical installations; and sales of electrical consumer goods, broadband and external engineering contracting services.
NTE was founded in 1919 and is headquartered in Steinkjer, Norway. 
EV Power is the newest initiative, the goal being to make renewable energy accessible to new generations of EV and plug-in-hybrid vehicles. EV Power will build and operate fast charging infrastructure as well as normal charging installations in the region of Trøndelag in Mid-Norway, with the fast charging infrastructure the backbone of the service. Our network of fast charging stations will increase the range of EVs and thus increase the value of the investment made in EV by both professional and private customers. The assumption is that the market will appreciate this value and accept prices that may generate revenues that make investments profitable. Market polls support this assumption.
